CADTH Webinar – Pain Management & Gabapentinoids

Due to the ongoing opioid crisis in our country, health professionals are looking for other pharmacological treatments for chronic pain. CADTH, SaskPain and the Continuing Education and Development for Nurses (CEDN) detail the current evidence for gabapentinoids and their role in treating chronic pain.  Precautions for use and minimizing misuse are also addressed.  

This presentation may be of interest to nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, researchers, educators, administrators, and Health Sciences students.

Do we have research evidence on how often painless birth occurs? We will discuss what we found and go over the evidence on factors that can shape pain perception during childbirth. We’ll also look at the complex relationship between effective pain relief during labor and maternal satisfaction with the birth experience.
