Cancer Diagnosis Tests: Watch this video to listen to Dr. Sachin Marda talking about different diagnostic tests for cancer
How is cancer diagnosed and its suspicion confirmed? If you have visited the oncologist, they will confirm it by tracking your medical history and conducting a clinical examination and through diagnostic testing.
Cancer treatment relies on a thorough diagnosis. Oncologists not only confirm the presence of cancer, but they also identify its type and the stage it is at. Various diagnostic procedures like Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC), tru-cut needle biopsy, CT scan, MRI scan, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan, endoscopy, and colonoscopy are useful in this process.
Once cancer is properly defined, further treatment can be given accordingly. Watch the next video in our series which explains the treatment options for cancer.
